I worked with Brooke Baker to create a brand and web presence that would be a mix of old and new for her book editing business, Story House Editing. It has movement and modern lines to portray her use of the new tools available for sharing files back and forth and a vintage flair to capture the nostalgia of books and writing by hand.
Branding
This logo is very approachable and vintage-feeling with its hand-drawn type and ink and parchment colors. Its literal path leads toward the wonderful work you will build together. A little bit Grimm Fairytale, a little bit yellow brick road, the gingerbread Victorian-style house and path welcome new clients to hire you and start this journey.
The business cards are custom-made to have raw paper edges to coordinate with the vintage, tactile feel of the logo. The rough edges also feed into the fun pun on the back.
